Easter Experience + Jenny's Birthday

Share
Last Saturday at the Burn, we resumed to the usual style of Saturday night church, our style. After last week's extremely chilled night of food and music, we had the opportunity to experience the Burn's first Easter service so to speak as well as celebrate Jenny's 5th 18th Birthday afterward.

Although none of our own photographers were present that night due to some unforeseen circumstances, or were they? We had the opportunity to use Sabrina San, guest of the evening, to help grab some awesome photos to capture the moment. This whole paragraph is for
you Sabrina - Thanks.

Anyway, the place was decorated beautifully again, as always.

The night started with our musicians jamming to music.

We then carried on to the main event of the evening, although Shaun's message was important as well. =p
The message and the skit were all tied together, and the guys involved in the skit did a fantastic job.

I really have no idea how this shot was taken, or was it edited? Anyway, it was part of the play, and it looks really cool. Anyhow, after the short skit, Shaun, shared what he thought Jesus would say to us in the room if he were there that night, as well as the true meaning of Easter. If you missed it, and are really curious to know what Shaun thinks Jesus would have said, come next week and ask him.

Above is Shaun, chatting with.. Jason I believe.

This image does not have to do with anything. It just looks so cool that I have to put it up! And yes, believe it or not, we know how to be friends with God.

After the sharing we had some chocolate fondue with marshmallows and  fruits and all kinds of other things to dip in the hot melted chocolate prepared by Jenny, Kate, Shelly, Hayley and gang. Only God knows what happened to the chocolate stained table cloths after. Fine, maybe a few others as well.

As everyone was bonding with one another and the chocolate, we sang Jenny Loo her birthday song, made her give a speech and let the boys sing her a song - "Jenny cooked the frogs legs!"

Although the picture makes it seem as though she is extremely shy, that was not the case at all. Our dearly beloved, not afraid of anything, Jenny Loo's face shone so brightly that the image turned out black and white, despite covering her face.

Obviously everyone cheered and jeered and clapped hands etc. Still in black and white.

That was pretty much it. I'll just put up some other photos here to end it.

Thats Jenny Loo in the picture above.

Thats it for now. Possibly to be edited later, just to add a few more photos when I'm not so tired. Yes, I am human people.

  1. Absolutely brilliant pictures from Sabrina! Loved how you caught everything in such low light! Amazing skills and tricks. And what a night I wish I didn't miss =/

  2. Awesome stuff. I really thought we wouldn't have that many shots that night. Because I was depending on Tina, who left her SD card in her wallet, and she lost the wallet. lol. Typical la.
