Christmas Bash 2010

Ladies and Gents,

Last week, instead of having our usual Burn meeting, we had a combined event for the whole church ( and other) - The Christmas Bash, where we din't really bash anything.

It was essentially a night to bring your food, eat, enjoy fellowship, sing carols and exchange gifts. Our fantastic Decor team beautifully transformed our church venue into a restaurant/stable/ happening place to be.

As described/proposed/ hinted in the event invitation, guests were supposed to come dressed as their favorite Christmas character, or at least wear something either green or red.

T&T Revamped

Thats right folks!

As of our last Takeaway and Tunes onwards, we'll be taking Takeaways and Tunes to a new level. T&T will now be a place for local music talent to gain exposure and some recognition. We will be having more guest artists, instead of the same old boring Jared Lim perform. Oops!

Last week at The Burn for example, we had some new, rather well known faces in the Malaysian Music industry join us. Some of those include Bo Amir Iqram, whose photo you'll see shortly, and Melinda Wong, who unfortunately did no play for us, but just might in the future.

Finding a partner for Tina...

Okay, so the title is a little strange I have to admit. Why would we have a whole event just to find a special man for TINA?? Who is Tina anyway? First off I have to say that this event went pretty well. Good job to the guys who had to try really hard to ACT as if they were interested in Tina. Just kidding guys. She is amazing. :)

Post Halloween T&T

Greetings from Puchong,

Instead of having another boring Takeaways and Tunes title to add to our collection of many Takeaways and Tunes, I've decided to change the name. Last week we had a number of performances.. I think three sets, one of which featured our world famous artist - Jared lim, who sang his new song. With Halloween not too far behind, we decided to try to decorate the place with a slightly Halloweenish theme, specifically, with some "faced" pumpkins.

Fright Night

Lots has been happening over at the Burn since SNL. Unfortunately, nothing recent has been posted on the blog. Thus this post is dedicated to take you through, very quickly what has been happening.

Probably the biggest event we've had since SNL would be: Fright Night 


This was a night where the Burn team worked together to prepare a 'sort of' haunted house for the guests. The whole place was dark, so there weren't many pictures.

SNL!

"Saturday Night Live"

It was a long awaited sequel to an event we had two years ago. :) The event was in conjunction with KLCI's 5th birthday! What a day to celebrate :D 


The venue was transformed into a restaurant setting. Tables with candlelight, and a beautifully decorated stage.

Black and White Takeaways and Tunes

Hey guys! How's everyone doing? Well, for the previous Burn we had Takeaway & Tunes again, but in a different theme this time. For this Takeaway & Tunes we traveled to New York City in monochrome style! As always people arrived with their own takeaways, pizzas, burgers, and sandwiches, and we also got to enjoy music from the band.

Takeaways and Tunes ( 3rd time) + bonus feature

Ladies and gentlemen, fans of all ages,

To start I would encourage everyone who reads this to 'Like' Ryan Gomes status on Facebook. He says that if he gets 100 likes on FB by the end of today, he will finally cut, what he calls his hair on his head. His mother aka Junji Delfino ( famous person ) is blackmailing him saying he has to abide by his statement, less some overly exposed pictures of him as a child be posted up on Facebook. 

It's all about the money

Hey guys! Yup, once again an awesome Burn event last Saturday night :) it was the "what Jesus would say about money' night.So the night started off with a friendly game on sit-volleyball

Hawaiian Night

Last Saturday's Burn was a smashing night of tropical surroundings. Guests were welcomed by lovely girls at the door dressed in their best tropical wear, as they greeted guests with jasmine's around their necks, along with a glass of tropical fruit punch complete with little umbrella's too ;)

Indescribable

As the title suggests, the night itself was indescribable. :)

Although many photos were taken, I can't post any since a certain someone has not uploaded them. Anyway, last Saturday night we had the Indescribable. The guys who were present sat down to watch a video about astronomy.

Friendship

Last Saturday, was another non-event. These days we've decided to hold Burn events every other week. Last week we had a simple flaming curtain set up, as the band played a number of songs before listening to what Shaun had to say about friendship.

To start his message, he showed us a little video about appreciating those around you, which did have some meaning to it, although it was mostly just for laughs.

Due to my failing memory, I will just write what I remember. I'm pretty sure Shaun will appear out of the blue and leave a comment explaining the details I missed out. *Bighint* So go read the comments before leaving.

Takeaways and Tunes 2.

Takeaways and Tunes, took place last night. About a month from our first success of this creative event. It was just like the first, an amazing atmosphere of pure relaxation, fun and food. Everyone arrived with their favorite takeaways, mostly consisting of KFC chicken, Subway and some McDonalds.

One Night in Persia

I was supposed to take a break from blogging this week. Guess not. 


Last Saturday, for all those who did not come for The Burn, you would be interested to know that all who stepped into the building that night were supernaturally transported a few thousand years back in time to Persia. It was no surprise to see Henry there however.

Movie Night

Last Saturday was a very chilled night with no outstanding decoration. Instead the guys who came sat down in the hall to watch a movie. Yes, that right, we watched a movie during Burn on Saturday.

Love Drunk: Boy meets Girl

Saturday Night's events began at 7:15pm. The hall was beautifully decorated by Jenny and some other irrelevant helpers (Myself included).  The pictures will obviously tell better stories about the deco. The evening was simple with everyone sitting around and chatting as usual as guys started to stroll in the venue.

With a theme like Love Drunk the place was decorated to suit the fantasies of a girl. Dim lights, soft music, candles, roses and all kind of other romantic things that mostly made the guys who walked in a little bit sleepy =p

Easter Experience + Jenny's Birthday

Last Saturday at the Burn, we resumed to the usual style of Saturday night church, our style. After last week's extremely chilled night of food and music, we had the opportunity to experience the Burn's first Easter service so to speak as well as celebrate Jenny's 5th 18th Birthday afterward.

Although none of our own photographers were present that night due to some unforeseen circumstances, or were they? We had the opportunity to use Sabrina San, guest of the evening, to help grab some awesome photos to capture the moment. This whole paragraph is for
