Friendship

Share
Last Saturday, was another non-event. These days we've decided to hold Burn events every other week. Last week we had a simple flaming curtain set up, as the band played a number of songs before listening to what Shaun had to say about friendship.

To start his message, he showed us a little video about appreciating those around you, which did have some meaning to it, although it was mostly just for laughs.

Due to my failing memory, I will just write what I remember. I'm pretty sure Shaun will appear out of the blue and leave a comment explaining the details I missed out. *Bighint* So go read the comments before leaving.

Essentially, friends should be able to deal with offenses. Real friends should stick together and not be torn apart by gossip and etc. Many friends however, like everyone in the world, are relative to animals in their behaviour.

The Turtle: Hides in his shell when trouble comes between friendship, and comes out on the other side

The Porcupine: He doesn't let people get too close to him

Turkey: Makes a joke of everything

Snake: Attacks anyone who has anything negative to say about him or his character

Rabbit: Runs away from all difficult circumstances

Ostrich: Puts his head in the ground when under stress

Jesus's friends
Next, Shaun talked about the types of friends that Jesus had. Generally speaking, Jesus was a very popular man who had hundreds of friends. However, he had 12 special friends with whom he shared his personal life problems. These were non other than the 12 disciples.  These were those in his inner circle. To follow an example, Shaun suggests that these closer friends should be of the same gender to avoid... certain complications. Hopefully, in this crooked age, the same gender thing will not lead to "even more complications."

Shaun, do you have anything to say about the traitor amongst the 12?

Generally speaking however, this is how it should be. Within this small circle, Jesus had an even closer circle of three. Of the twelve, Jesus's very best friends were John, James, and Peter. I think

These friends should definitely be of the same gender since women are emotional and tend to get defrauded when guys share their personal struggles and emotions. And guys.. well, they might just take advantage of being in the close circle of a girl. So, moral of the story, have three guy friends that are close, provided you are straight and vice versa.

Ps. This post is opened for editing. Please post comments if you (those who came) remember something I don't. This especially includes Shaun.

For those who don't know, my name is Bryan, and I will risk putting my name here for the public to see in case your wondering which weird blogger does not remember his blogging material from the previous Burn meeting.
