As the title suggests, the night itself was indescribable. :)
Although many photos were taken, I can't post any since a certain someone has not uploaded them. Anyway, last Saturday night we had the Indescribable. The guys who were present sat down to watch a video about astronomy.
Its amazing how tiny we are. The earth is so small, and we humans are so insignificant. Even if by some technological breakthrough, we are able to travel at the speed of light (which is not going to happen), we will still be unable to explore the wonders of the universe God has created.
Beautiful, gigantic, indescribable galaxies and the like, exist billions of light-years away. Most humans are unable to live for more than 80 years. It would take millions of generations to travel at the speed of light for a billion years while living their lives. Not possible. Assuming the world does not end then, these people will have to travel back to earth - another million plus generations away to tell what their ancestors a few million generations up saw.
Anybody follow my ramblings? Regardless, the moral of the story is: Its impossible for us to ever explore the Universe God has created. Imagine an ant discovering that the world is round. Impossible!
Black holes, star incubators and all kinds of things exist out there that we know about only because we are able to see them with a super telescope from space.
Sorry for this really strange blog post. So anyway, after watching the video, we mostly just sat outside, ate, drank and had fun. Next week however, we should be having a really good event - the Hawaiian Night. Do come.
