Hawaiian Night

ALOHA!
Last Saturday's Burn was a smashing night of tropical surroundings. Guests were welcomed by lovely girls at the door dressed in their best tropical wear, as they greeted guests with jasmine's around their necks, along with a glass of tropical fruit punch complete with little umbrella's too ;)

The night continued with guests mingling and chit chatting over snacks and the yummy punch :) Everyone soon made their way into the main hall, where the real fantastic deco awaited for eyes to feast upon! The team did an excellent job :)

We then had the band come up, just to start off with some songs. Jared led the band singing two songs, right before we moved on to our LIMBO kick off!

After all the limbo fun, everyone sat back down again to listen to what Shaun had to share about that night.

Shaun spoke about Humility. And how Christians are always assumed to be proud people. But he shared about how as Christians, we have to be humble. And acknowledge that we are sinners that don't deserve God's grace, but that we need to have the revelation that we serve the most Holy and gracious God. And that all we need to do, is accept the sacrifice done by Jesus on our behalf and live our lives, a humble son/daughter ready and willing to surrender all to our King. He shared an example of the Lady in the Bible, who was caught committing adultery. And how the religious leaders brought her to Jesus, fresh from Her sin, naked and they threw her on the floor at Jesus feet and demanded that she be punished. Jesus then said to them 'Let Him who is without sin, cast the first stone'. Jesus then turned to the woman and set her free. How awesome is He!

The highlight of our night, turned out to be the moment that a beautiful lady gave her heart to Jesus! Yay God!! :)

The night ended with more fellowship, fun, and food! :)

For next week's Burn, we will be having an evening based on the topic 'What does Jesus have to say about Money?' COME! It will be a relevant and interesting night for all :) Till next week!
